The Tutankhamun exhibition at the 02 finishes at the end of August 2008. You still have time to visit this fantastic event ! This study day will prepare you for your visit to the O2 Tutankhamun exhibition. We will examine the following topics: - the discovery & examination of Tutankhamun’s tomb - the contents of the tomb & their symbolic meanings - the theories surrounding the young king’s death - the theories concerning the ‘curse’ of Tutankhamun - the members of Tutankhamun’s family
Joyce is the only British Egyptologist to have officially examined the body from tomb KV55, thought to be Tutankhamun’s brother. Joyce has written widely on Ancient Egypt and is a world acknowledged expert on mummies, she regulary appears on Television. Cost: £25 (to include afternoon refreshments) Please note: as places are limited bookings must be received no later than 18 July 2008.
