This is a 'rootsy' holiday, combining the local culture with your dancing. Belly dancing in any country, and in particular, Egypt, only exists within the culture, history, atmosphere, food, religion, animals, music, and the local people. Your belly dance lessons will be with 5 local Egyptian women whose dancing will reflect the culture they have been brought up in. They will be available for questions afterwards, so that you can get the feel of how they have learned to dance. One dancer is the famous Kharriya Mazzin (hyperlink to her article), also a local cabaret dancer, a Cruise ship dancer, a village girl and a housewife. The lessons will be dancing with the women, as they have been taught. You will get the opportunity to interview Kharriya Mazzin.

Sightseeing
- You will be visiting classic tourist sights in and around Luxor:
Luxor Temple, Luxor Museum, Karnak Temple, Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut - You will also go on a felucca boat trip at sunset to Banana Island, a horse and carriage ride, and will be guided around the souk (market)

- Hotel Package - £375 per person or £325 'early bird' if booked 12 weeks before departure.
- Fee includes: 7 nights B&B in a hotel with swimming pool, transfer taxi to hotel, group entry fees & taxis to local morning trips, group belly dance lessons, UK facilitator, local escort, professional historical tour guides, timed & itemised itinerary, free guide book.
- Not included is: flight, £10 airport visa stamp on arrival in Egypt, return taxi to airport, meals & drinks, optional extras.
- Non-refundable but transferable deposit of £100 payable with booking.
- You must book your own flight to Luxor through either of the following:
- Excel airways - flights on Mondays
- Britannia airways - flights on Wednesdays
- Optional hot air balloon trip - includes transfer from hotel to departure point, 1 hour in the air during sunrise, a t-shirt and certificate £35pp
